About Us
Welcome to the Giving Ignites Visual Empowerment Foundation (G.I.V.E.)! We are an organization founded to give back to our community! We work to raise funds to help support nonprofit organizations within the Greater Saint Louis Area. The vision of G.I.V.E was founded in 2015, as Vanessa and Armand Slaughter were discussing the dire needs of those around them and their community. They both felt a pressing desire to create a solution to better their community. By seeking out and partnering with established 501(c)3 organizations serving in the community, they knew that they could reach many.
For two years, they gave randomly to community organizations in need and received an overwhelming response. The recipients were so overjoyed that someone cared enough to ask what they could do to help their organization. After receiving this response multiple times, their belief was confirmed to continue the mission. G.I.V.E.'s focus and mission is to increase available resources for children, women, the homeless, men, schools and our community at large. We believe that our Giving Ignites Visual Empowerment!
